Recreation Worcester's summer program focuses on team work, sports, arts, and fun learning delivered by local youth workers and community partners. Youth will be offered different options of activities to choose from guided by the Recreation Worcester staff team. The summer program takes place in ten parks (two in each city district) throughout the City and runs for six weeks, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. beginning July 5. Participation is free for children ages 7 to 13 and includes lunch and dinner. Registration is required to participate in programming.
Through Recreation Worcester's after-school programming, students in grades 2-12 will have the opportunity to engage with volunteers, on-site personnel and other community partners in enriching, recreational, academic, and art programming. By enhancing these community partnerships through programming, Recreation Worcester aims to develop linkages between youth and community leaders through mentorship. All Worcester students are welcome between grades 2-12. Programming begins after dismissal of normal school hours at the school site chosen.
